- → Plan re-sitting strategy — see whether improving JAMB or O'Level credits helps more
How to Use the Free JAMB Aggregate Calculator
- 1 Enter your JAMB UTME score (between 0 and 400) into the JAMB Score field.
- 2 Select your O'Level grades from the dropdown menus for each subject (up to 9 subjects). Use A1, B2, B3, C4, C5, C6, D7, E8, or F9.
- 3 The calculator automatically picks your best 5 grades, converts them to points (A1=6, B2=5, B3=4, C4=3, C5=2, C6=1, D7/E8/F9=0), and computes the O'Level contribution.
- 4 Read your Aggregate Score out of 100: calculated as (JAMB ÷ 8) + (best 5 O'Level points ÷ 30 × 50).
- 5 The total credits count is also shown — JAMB requires a minimum of 5 credits for most courses.

- What is the JAMB aggregate formula?
- The standard formula used by most Nigerian universities is: Aggregate = (JAMB Score ÷ 8) + (Sum of best 5 O'Level grade points ÷ 30 × 50). JAMB contributes a maximum of 50 points (400 ÷ 8) and O'Level contributes up to 50 points. The total aggregate is out of 100. Some universities use slightly different weightings — always check with your specific institution.

- A1 = 6 points, B2 = 5 points, B3 = 4 points, C4 = 3 points, C5 = 2 points, C6 = 1 point, D7 = 0, E8 = 0, F9 = 0. Only grades C6 and above are considered credit passes. Most university courses require a minimum of 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- Does every Nigerian university use this formula?
- Not all — while this formula is widely used, some universities have their own weightings (e.g. 60% JAMB + 40% O'Level, or different screening requirements). This calculator uses the most common formula. Always verify the specific admission formula with your target institution.
